FOOD | Pokok KL Cafe, MAHSA Avenue, PJ
Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!
Today I'm going to review a cafe, first time for me! I really love the ambience of this place so I decided, I NEED to blog about it. My husband and I went for a lunch date at this cafe yesterday to celebrate my birthday (thank you husband 💗). I was craving for Big Breakfast and I googled for cafes that have Big Breakfast on their menu, that's how I found out about this place.
Cappucino RM10
Pink Latte RM15
I didn't know the colour of Pink Latte came from beetroot, I hate beetroot 😂 I didn't ask them what's the ingredients of the drink before ordering, so it's my own fault. But let's just appreciate how pretty the drink is. It doesn't taste 100% like beetroot, it taste more like red bean, but it's not my favourite. Cappucino was fine though.
Truffle Fries RM18
This one is okay. Fries are a bit over-cooked, they're crunchy, feels like eating potato chips instead of fries.
Big Breakfast RM35
I like this one. Portion is quite big. The scrambled eggs are cooked perfectly just like what I expected it to be, so fluffy, moist and well seasoned. I also love the mushrooms, so yummy! The only downside is the tater tots, they were cold so they were not as good.
Chocolate Lava Cake RM12
WAKA WAKA Gelato RM8
This one I kinda regret ordering because I was so full after the Big Breakfast 😆 The cake was nice though, it was warm, paired with the WAKA WAKA Gelato, it was perfect. The cake comes with a scoop of ice cream but if you want to try their own gelato you have to add-on. I couldn't even finish the gelato

If you ask me, are the food worth it, yes, but the Big Breakfast is a bit overpriced. The others are quite reasonable. I do love the place, good to celebrate special occasions because there are a lot of nice spots for photos. I didn't take as much photos because I'm a shy person 😂
