CONCERT | Kodaline Live In KL 2019
Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!
Today I'm going to blog about something different than I usually do, a concert experience! I went to Kodaline's Politics Of Living Tour that was held at KL Live, Kuala Lumpur on 3rd March 2019. If you have no idea who Kodaline is, well, you should go check them out?
I've been listening to Kodaline for years but I've only been obsessed with them since last year. I love ALL of their songs. When I found out that they were coming to Malaysia, I freaked out and bought (or fought for) the tickets as soon as they opened the online ticketing (it was months before the concert). Although I didn't like that we had to fight for the tickets because the tickets were limited, I really am grateful that Good Vibes brought Kodaline here.
This wasn't the first concert for me but it probably is THE BEST CONCERT I'VE BEEN TO. ๐ญ I love everything about the concert. I sang my heart out, I smiled, I laughed, I cried (multiple times), it was packed with emotions.
Kodaline holds a very special place in my heart, forever ๐
I decided to blog about the concert because it's one of the things that I don't want to forget.
I went to the concert with my younger sister, Hanna. We arrived at KL Live around 11.30 AM and people already started queuing. I thought we were early ๐
So the wristband collection counter opened at 3 PM, we waited around 3 hours before we got the wristbands.

After we got the wristbands, we ran to the 'waiting area'. Seriously, I've never thought going to a concert is tiring, or maybe I'm too old for concerts? ๐ I love everything about the concert except for all the waiting. We had to go through 10 hours of sitting on the floor and standing just to enjoy the concert in the first row (sadly we didn't get to be in the first row ๐ญ)
We looked happy but our feet were actually suffering!

Got these as freebies
So after we got the wristbands, we waited for around 2 hours or more before they release us to the other waiting area (upstairs). We had to wait some more before they allow us to go into the hall, the gate opened at 6.30 PM.
The show started at 9 PM. There were no supporting act, we only get to enjoy playbacks during the waiting time. My sister and I almost passed out because we only ate buns for breakfast and we've been standing for 5 hours non stop. We were lucky we got through it. So note to self, do eat if you're going to a concert ever again.
Once the show starts, all the pain went away. Seeing them live for the first time, this close, well it was worth all the wait. Here's the setlist for the concert:
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them the first time, it felt so unreal. I almost teared up but I held it. When they started playing Brother, I couldn't hold it anymore. I burst into tears, I cried like nobody was there. It was so overwhelming, I've been listening to Kodaline every single day and I get to see them live, playing my favourite songs, it was a dream I thought would never happen. I guess dreams do really come true ๐

Probably the only decent photo from the concert

The only photo I got with all of them together ๐

So sorry for all the blurry photos. The concert was amazing, the setlist and the crowd were awesome too. I cried multiple times. I screamed so hard that my throat hurts after the concert ๐
See, I wasn't kidding when I say the crowd was awesome ๐
Will I go to a Kodaline concert again? YASSS! FOREVER YES. Thank you so much Kodaline for making my dream comes true, for helping me go through all the hard times, for filling my everyday with good music. Thank you.
